The Microgate OptoJump Next is an innovative measurement system that enables advanced motion analysis. How the product works

The system consists of two parallel beams, equipped with LED transmitters and sensors that continuously collect data about the user's movements. When an athlete or patient moves within the detection field, every step or jump is measured with millisecond accuracy. The collected data can be analyzed directly via the accompanying software, enabling real-time feedback and comprehensive reporting.

Tests and analyses

Running analysis : for measuring running performance, including speed and efficiency.
Sprint analysis : for analyzing speed and reaction time during sprint tests.
Jump tests : for measuring jump height, contact time, and flight time.
Tap test : for measuring reaction times to visual and auditory impulses.

Expansion possibilities

Expanding with additional meters makes it possible to create the following systems:

Modular System : gait analysis, running analysis or analysis of specific movements.
Two-Dimensional System : reaction and concentration ability, combination of tests, reproduction of posture and walking mode and calculation of the position at XY coordinates. The maximum test area is 36 m2 (6×6).

Software

The OptoJump Next software
runs on Windows and consists of three main parts: ' Athletes ', ' Tests ' and ' Results '.

Athletes
This section allows you to store personal data, notes, files and other information about the athlete.

Tests
This component can be opened to design, configure, and execute new tests. You can choose from predefined tests and user-created tests.
During the test, the user receives three types of real-time feedback (numeric, graphic and video) which are saved once the test is confirmed.

Results
In this section, you can retrieve the performed tests and compare the images with the data, both numerically and graphically. The videos are useful for reviewing how the athlete performed the test previously, making it easy to identify discrepancies in the numerical data.

Additionally, it's possible to reduce the playback speed and draw on a still image. Comparing two or more tests is also possible without the need for additional software. All data can be printed or exported in the most common formats.

The Microgate ProMove app allows you to configure tests, analyze results, and view and edit data on your Microgate devices via your mobile device. The ProMove app license also gives you access to all tests and cloud synchronization across multiple devices simultaneously.

Difference between OptoJump and OptoGait

OptoJump Next and OptoGait are both advanced measurement systems from Microgate for jump and gait analysis. They use the same optical technology, but differ in certification, expandability, and application.
